We are currently looking to fill a Relief Part Time opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator in Surgical Services at Eagle Ridge Hospital located in Port Moody, BC . This position is available until January 2025 or until Return of Incumbent.
Eagle Ridge Hospital is a 168 bed hospital in Port Moody, British Columbia, serving the communities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra. The hospital offers medical, surgical, and cardiac programs, as well as 24/7 emergency services with over 53,000 visits annually.
The Tri-Cities is an informal grouping of three lively suburban communities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody and two semi-rural residential areas of Belcarra and Anmore that have grown together, and are each unique from the other. Detailed Overview
In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Clinical Nurse Educator utilizes evidence-informed practice and education theory to develop educational programs that will achieve the most effective outcomes, and deliver formal group or individual educational activities to staff and patients/clients/residents/families. Measures education plan success and amends plans accordingly. Participates in research, policy, quality improvement, and risk management activities. The Clinical Nurse Educator performs their duties with a unit, hospital, program and/or regional focus and may be required to work at multiple sites across Fraser Health.
Responsibilities
Education and Experience
Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Three (3) years of recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, including one (1) year of education and/or leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Completion of post graduate course work and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
Valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposes, as required.
