Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada provides ultra-specialized short-term orthopedic care to children in Quebec, other Canadian provinces, the United States and around the world. Shriners Hospitals for Children – Canada is looking for a strong candidate to lead the philanthropic effects of their hospital.
Working closely with the Hospital Administrator and reporting to the Executive Director of Location Philanthropy in Tampa, the Director, Office of Philanthropy will implement a comprehensive strategic plan for all fundraising activities from major gifts to annual fund and events for the Hospital. The incumbent proposes and incorporates innovative ideas for prospect identification, evaluation, cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship. This will include maintaining a robust portfolio with six- and seven-figure donors and prospects in pursuit of impactful fundraising targets, working in collaboration with Home Office staff, local hospital administration and its Board of Governors to advance the philanthropy office, grow donor engagement, acquisition and stewardship, and support the overall philanthropic success.
The incumbent also contributes to the development, implementation and assessment of the mission, broad goals, strategies, objectives and priorities of the establishment and their management, and this, in concordance and in collaboration with members of the management team. In planning and managing their sector of activity, they must take into account both the orientations of the Shriners hospital network and those of the Quebec social and health network.
