Unit Summary
This position is a multi-site posting and supports all 3 Endoscopy sites, MUMC, JH, and HGH As part of Perioperative Services, the Endoscopy Units provide a full range of diagnostic procedures for patients with gastrointestinal and respiratory disorders, including pre, intra and post procedural care. The endoscopy department provides exemplary care to a variety of patients and partners with McMaster University�s Center of Excellence Gastroenterology Department.
Our program is committed to community partnerships which provide evidence based integrated services that include symptomatic, colorectal screening, surveillance and emergency procedures. The endoscopy program provides care for both local and regional patients. The team supports gastroenterologists, colorectal surgeons, general surgeons, hepatic biliary surgeons, and respirologist. Our teams are innovative, creative and passionate and are committed to the patients and families we serve.
As an active member of the multidisciplinary health care team, the HCA Room Based Attendant supports patient care through equipment and supply management, maintenance of a clean, safe environment and participation in selected patient care activities using a client centered approach. The HCA Room Based Attendant provides unit support to patients, families and those providing service and/or care. Functions according to the job description for HCA Room Based Attendant in Endoscopy and performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule Work Hours
Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays as required.
