Job Description Luxury Travel Consultant (Rail, Ship and Hotel) Are you looking to relive history and the extraordinary pleasures of luxury travel? We are seeking a successful candidate to embark on joining our Orient Express team, reporting to the Moncton Global Reservation Centre. Fully restored historic carriages will return to the rails beginning in 2025, and we are seeking individuals to engage in selling bespoke travel experiences with a variety of iconic itineraries on the Orient Express, beginning with the La Dolce Vita Orient Express trains. Soon to come will also include the Nostalgia Orient Express train, Silenseas Sailing ship and our luxury hotel brands. What is in it for you:

What you will be doing: As a Luxury Travel Consultant you are responsible to act as a sales, care and information resource and point of contact for our ultra-luxury trains, ships and hotels. This role focuses primarily on the handling of inbound sales calls and emails, and also other activities such as modifications, cancellations, invoicing and other inquiries in regards to the Orient Express brand and our luxury hotels. Reporting to the Director of Operations:
  • Facilitate bookings while meeting the highest luxury sales and service standards
  • Demonstrate effective listening & selling skills and questioning techniques while determining customer needs and offer appropriate recommendations
  • Answer calls, emails and send appropriate follow-up information when required
  • Participate in bespoke SITE travel itineraries (Note: asset if available to travel internationally May 24 - 31, 2024)
  • Assist with administration duties for private and group bookings
  • Support the Reservation Sales Department with hotel reservations as required
  • Other administrative duties such as quality control of all bookings prior to issuing travel documents may be required along with coordination of on and off board experiences
  • Collaborate with our Accor Global Reservation Centres Moncton and Barcelona, Orient Express Sales Teams
Qualifications Your experience and skills include
  • Professional level fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing) is required. Fluency in French is an asset
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, hotel operations, travel agency or customer care required
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills along with questioning techniques
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure in a fast-paced environment, work independently and collaborate within a team
  • Attention to details and well organized Highly motivated and results oriented individual
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is required
  • Experience working with Central Reservation Systems or Salesforce is an asset
Location and Remote information:
  • Must be currently legally entitled to work full time in Canada
  • This is full-time, permanent, career position, we are not currently hiring for part time schedules or for temporary full time students
  • Must be located in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec or the Ottawa region of Ontario, Canada
  • Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • If Hybrid or Home Based must have a direct connect high-speed internet connection (not wireless) and suitable home office workspace
