HIS Student, Human Resources, Full-Time Temporary
Operation Monarch-Information and Communication Technology, Welland Site/Multi-site
Hours of Work: 75 hours per pay period
June- September
Position Objective:
Niagara Health is embarking on a clinical transformation spearheaded by the implementation of a new Oracle Health Hospital Information System (HIS) in November 2024. The successful candidate will support various project-based activities alongside project team members including, but not limited to, recruitment and selection, new hire support, and change management tasks. A key component of this responsibility will be to support the Onboarding Advisor with Human Resources functions.
Responsibilities:
o Screening resumes, coordinating and participating in interviews
o Pre-Screening and connecting with candidates
o Conducting reference checks and drafting offer letters
o Filing, typing and record keeping duties
o Identify and resolve issues including escalating when required
o Attend onboarding events with community partners
o Auditing and filing of HR files.

Qualifications:
o Enrolled in post-secondary education, specializing in Human Resources or Business Administration
o Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism, with the ability to work with diverse group of healthcare stakeholders
o Demonstrated ability to work independently and also as a contributing team member
o Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
o Previous health care environment or administrative experience would be an asset
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
o Proven analytical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking
o Excellent attendance and highly reliable
Note:
Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health's Vaccination Policy is required.
