Reporting to the Assistant Manager or designate, the Maintenance Worker is required to perform snow removal and lawn care duties at various locations as well as performing a variety of semi-skilled tasks relating to various specialty trades that include, but are not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical. In addition to carrying out general maintenance duties on a rotating shift basis within various Nova Scotia Health facilities as directed by site supervisor, the Maintenance Worker will be required to perform building quality assurance rounds, as well as tasks in the areas of construction, installation, inspection of structure, and mechanical and equipment troubleshooting and repair. The Maintenance Worker will be required to abide by the Nova Scotia Health policies and procedures, and is required to maintain record keeping in relation to maintenance duties including work orders, material requisitions, and inspection forms etc.
