About The Role

We are currently seeking a temporary nanny for a 13-month contract to provide nurturing care for an adorable 18-month-old girl in Ottawa. The role will begin on June 10, 2024, near Carleton University. They are open to hiring 2 nannies: one for weekdays and one for weekends, or to hire one candidate who is interested in all shifts.

Location

Near Carleton University, Ottawa, ON.

Children

The familys daughter is an active and playful 18-month-old who enjoys eating, playing, dancing, talking, and watching cartoons.

Compensation Range

The family seeks a long-term commitment from a nurturing nanny, offering a competitive rate ranging from $20 to $25 per hour, depending on the candidates experience and qualifications.

Working Hours:

The exact schedule is yet to be determined. The weekday schedule will be for 3-4 hours daily starting in the late afternoon. The weekend schedule will be for 6-8 hours, starting late morning. The family is willing to consider applicants interested in either the weekday or weekend portion of the schedule, or both.

Responsibilities:

• Engaging with the child in various activities and playtime.

• Providing meals, snacks, bathing, and organizing child-related items.

• Assisting with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and cooking.

• Collaborating with the parents to maintain the childs routine and well-being.

• Occasionally travel domestically with the family.

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience with toddlers.

• Previous nanny experience preferred.

• First Aid and CPR certification preferred

• Preference for nanny to either live close by or have reliable transportation.

• Strong references

• Currently eligible to work in Canada

• COVID-19 vaccination preferred

About The Family

The family consists of warm and loving parents who are excited to welcome a nurturing nanny into their home. The mother works from the home, while the father works as a neurologist at the civic hospital. Note that the family will have nanny cams in the home.
