We currently have an exciting opportunity for a  Porter to join our  Portering team. Reporting Relationship: Manager, Acute Environmental & Linen Services

Hiring Rate Range: $22.741-24.135

Shift:  Must be available for rotating shifts including alternating weekends.
Employee Group: NOWU Service

Hours of work:  Must be available to work rotating shifts including alternating weekends

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Transporting patients, pharmacy supplies, patient records, and specimens.
  • Transporting medical/surgical equipment, case carts, and other equipment as necessary.
  • Dispatching.
  • Distribution of medical surgical supplies.
  • Collecting supplies, instruments, trays etc. from the entire Hospital and disposing in the appropriate way. 

     

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One year related work experience required.

  • Demonstrated attention to details required.

  • Good command of the English Language (both verbal and written) required.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to operate, with training, machinery.

  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, and the ability to work alone or as a part of a team.

  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record is a requirement
