Senior Manager of Rooms Division Location Niagara Falls, ON :
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Manager of Rooms Division who is responsible for ensuring that all departments, all aspects of guest accommodations, from front desk reception to housekeeping and facilities, are working together effectively to provide guests with a seamless experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience in hotel management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all operations within the hotel's guest rooms including arrivals, departures, reservations, and housekeeping services.
- Develop and implement new policies, procedures, and practices to enhance guest satisfaction and improve efficiency.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff, ensuring that the hotel's service culture is aligned with the brand's values.
- Collaborate with department managers in sales, food and beverage, and maintenance to provide exceptional guest experiences to optimize division performance.
- Train, supervise, and mentor front desk agents, housekeeping staff, and other team members to ensure the highest level of professionalism and productivity.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service
- Handle escalated guest concerns and ensure swift resolution
- Area of focus includes scheduling and optimization of schedules during peak and off peak days.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, business administration, or a related field with a combination of experience
- Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role with a focus on front desk operations, housekeeping, and maintenance services
- Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Strong communication, and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience in managing a team of employees and achieving revenue goals is desirable.
- Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel & Word.
- Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining schedules and calendars, and booking rooms.
- Ability to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs.
