Job : Under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Manager, Pharmacy Operations Support , the Senior Oncology Pharmacists are responsible for program development and analysis of a variety of drug-related outcomes (drug use evaluation) specific to the needs of the organization and to support quality management, preparation and prioritization of drug submissions for drug funding requests, activities related to fiscal management of drugs, development and implementation of drug policy and formulary management, provision of accurate, unbiased and current oncology drug information, coordination of investigational drug treatments within the provincial clinical trials program and the maintenance of pharmacy information within the CMS and the computerized pharmacy application. The Senior Oncology Pharmacists integrate knowledge, skills and abilities in the provision of quality pharmacy services within the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. The Senior Oncology Pharmacists are responsible for the provision of patient-focused pharmaceutical care by optimizing medication therapy and ensuring safe, comprehensive and effective drug distribution services for patients of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.
Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy
Licensed with Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists
Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a hospital pharmacy OR an equivalent combination of applicable education, training and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
- Experience in an oncology setting is an asset.
- Completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program at a recognized Canadian tertiary care hospital and/or completion of a post-graduate degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D, MSc) from a
