Job Description - Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours. BAND 6 PAEDIATRIC PHYSIOTHERAPIST ACUTE NEUROLOGY (2 Posts)1 WTE (37 hours) Permanent 0.8 WTE (30 hours) Permanent Applications are invited from physiotherapists who are keen to develop their clinical knowledge and skills in acute paediatric neurology. We have opportunity for two Paediatric Physiotherapists with appropriate clinical experience to join the acute Paediatric Physiotherapy Service based at The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow is one of the largest paediatric centres in the UK and is a national and tertiary referral centre for a wide range of paediatric specialities. You will provide comprehensive specialised assessment, treatment and management of children and young people who have highly complex conditions. The post includes multi-disciplinary working within neonatology, long-term ventilation, neurorehabilitation, neurosurgery, oncology and cardiology as well acute neurology. You must be able to work as part of a team with good interpersonal and communication skills. The Acute Services Division is committed to offering all staff the opportunity to develop clinical skills with a varied caseload, and also offer appraisal, supervision and opportunities for continuing professional development. training and support will be provided where appropriate.
