Job Description



This position will report to the Clinical Services Manager, Allied Health.

Accountabilities:

  • Assessment and management of dysphagia using clinical and instrumental assessment
  • Communication and screening/assessment and management
  • Providing education, resources and referral to patients and families in a clear and accessible manner
  • Completing assessments and relays findings to patients, families and inter-professional teams in a timely manner to facilitate access and flow
  • Participating as part of the speech-language pathologist team, attending meetings and education sessions where required

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy (experience with Meditech an asset)
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage time in a fast-paced medical environment
  • Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team
  • Experience with videofluoroscopy an asset
  • Experience with tracheostomies an asset
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record required

  • May be required to travel between and work at all Osler sites

Additional Information



Hours: Currently days, eight hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
