Hiring service name and description

  • The Employee Services (ES) is responsible for providing support to employees of Bell Canada and its subsidiaries. These services include payroll administration, human resources transactions, and management of unionized employee transfers, including eligibility for the Employee Discount Program. 
  • The HR Transactions Group is responsible for interpreting, analyzing, and explaining human resources rules, plans, and policies, more specifically in relation to the Employee Discount Program. They validate requests of varying levels of complexity with applicants from all entities of Bell Canada and ensure the integrity of the information while meeting the very tight deadlines and high level of quality required by the service agreements negotiated with our customers. They act as an intermediary between the various internal and external client groups to ensure the updating and maintenance of employee and retiree records, and the organizational structure of Bell Canada and its subsidiaries. They also make recommendations regarding the application of the Employee Discount Program and on work processes and policies across the company.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and analyze customer requests made via phone or written communication, and respond to them within specified timeframes, ensuring accuracy to avoid errors. 
  • Guide employees in using various self-service tools and refer them to the right stakeholders when appropriate. 
  • Identify and assess issues and suggest appropriate solutions to concerned parties to contribute to process improvements. 
  • Provide support to customers on HR process/policy application, and be able to direct them to the right avenues for assistance. 
  • Handle, investigate, and explain the application of the Employee Discount Program as well as the policy. 
  • Compile/extract reports for analysis purposes using various tools and databases.

Essential skills and abilities

  • Bilingualism: French/English (reading, speaking, writing) 
  • Intermediate level MS Word 
  • Intermediate level MS Excel. 
  • Good organizational and planning skills, good priority management, ability to meet tight deadlines and manage stress effectively. 
  • Ability to work and thrive in a constantly changing environment with multiple priorities, fluctuating volumes and tight deadlines 
  • Ability to deal with and influence sometimes difficult employees or customers by demonstrating empathy, diplomacy, and tact 
  • Have a strong attention to detail in order to ensure accuracy of information for customers 
  • Make quick decisions, identify obstacles, take appropriate action, demonstrate initiative and judgment, and propose process improvements and solutions 
  • Be recognized for teamwork

Desired skills and abilities: 

  • Good knowledge of SAP (HR) 
  • Call center experience

Working conditions:

  • Possible work schedule from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  
  • Minimum of 3 days/week on Montreal campus presence.
