Our ClientIs a leading alternative asset manager.ResponsibilitiesAct as first in-house Employment Counsel for the organization.Oversee and refine HR/Employment Relations operations comprehensively, optimizing each stage of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to departure.Take ownership of HR programs, with a focus on enhancing benefits and streamlining onboarding for maximum impact.Provide consistent support in performance management, aiding managers in delivering effective feedback year-round.Ensure strict global legal and HR compliance across all operational locations, staying updated on legislative requirements.Analyze and adapt policies for new locations, maintaining alignment with evolving needs.Cultivate a dynamic high-performance culture through engaging, inclusive initiatives.Implement advanced HR analytics to drive strategic decision-making within the Talent Team.Manage an HR associate, empowering their growth and aligning tasks with their strengths.Drive ongoing strategic improvements in HR/Legal operations to enhance efficiency and flexibility.Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to empower employees in their professional growth.RequirementsLLB or JD and a Lawyer in Good Standing with the Law Society of Ontario HR Leadership designation, preferred.8 - 12 years of experience in private practice and/or a comparable industry within a Employment Law and/or HR positionEnthusiastic about onsite work in downtown Toronto, flexible in scheduling to accommodate team and business needs.Balances director-level strategic thinking with hands-on approach, willing to engage in administrative tasks.Demonstrates a service-oriented mindset, committed to efficiently achieving HR objectives.
