About The Position As the Health and Safety Coordinator, you will plan, organize, and coordinate health and safety activities for Community Services and work extensively with the department Joint Health and Safety Committees. You will be responsible for ensuring our program complies with regulations and legislation. The position also provides office coordination to the branch including records management, filing, supply ordering, and financial administration.

Essential Qualifications Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications – specifically – how your work experiences and related duties align with the essential qualifications shown below. - Coursework in health and safety, psychological and physical health and wellness, organizational safety, or a related field such as human resources or legal studies;
- Experience conducting research and providing recommendations;
- Experience coordinating workshops or events;
- Experience developing and delivering training would be considered an asset; and
- Experience providing office coordination support would be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
Desired Knowledge, Skills And Suitability Candidates should have and may be assessed on:
- Ability to manage committees/working groups;
- Experience working with regulations and guidelines;
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service;
- Ability to use tact, diplomacy and influence to achieve outcomes;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically SharePoint and Excel; and
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
