Our client has been an Industry leader for over 25 years in the telecom space and continues to grow and increase market share across different verticals. The HR Business Partner is a NEW role created out of growth and a need to focus on the Retail vertical of the business. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this role will have you driving alignment and results with/without direct authority. You will possess the capability and willingness to operate on both macro and micro issues and have analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills with an ability to understand broad complex business issues within a rapidly changing matrix. This role will report into the Director of Human Resources and be responsible for supporting the Retail operation through various initiatives, strategies, planning & execution. Responsibilities would include:

• Partner with Retail leadership, understanding business challenges
• Manage learning & development and support employee growth

• Provide HR consultation and identify and initiate improvement processes
• Foster a positive environment, respectful and fun environment
• Effectively influence and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
• Work with confidential/sensitive information

Qualifications:

• CHRP or CHRL designation is a strong asset
• 6+ years of experience in Human Resources, specifically as a generalist
• Solid knowledge of general HR rules/regulations in Ontario
• Retail Industry experience is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are mandatory
