Job Description - Human Resources Business Partner

Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) / Senior HRBP

We are currently seeking candidates for the role of Human Resources Business Partner with our Irving Business Services team in Saint John, New Brunswick . Irving Business Services provides professional services to the J.D. Irving, Limited group of Companies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role
  • CPHR designation is an asset
  • Customer focused with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Experience with talent assessment and talent development
  • Energetic self-starter, with a bias for action, who enjoys working in a fast paced, team oriented environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high quality work and follow through on commitments
  • Demonstrated problem solver with commitment to quality, with an innate curiosity
  • Strategic thinker, interested in workforce data and insights & talent market data and trends
  • Strong systems aptitude – MS Suite – previous Human Resources Information Systems experience is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in the implementation of Human Resource initiatives
  • Partner with business teams to positively impact the employee experience, ensuring a strong understanding of the various team functions and strategies
  • Provide human resources advice, counsel, and recommended solutions to managers and employees
  • Support the Human Resources Leader with the execution of Human Resources’ programs and policies in support of the people strategy, performance management, training and development, compensation, employee relations, recognition and engagement
  • Partner with Leaders and Talent Acquisition Specialist to align and execute on the workforce plan, ensuring pipeline of talent for the organization
  • Work closely with the Communications Team, and the Talent Acquisition Specialist to promote career opportunities
  • Partner with the business’ Student Program Lead to select and identify student talent, and provide an exceptional student work term experience
  • Compile & deliver human resources reporting and analysis, and recommend associated actions
  • Maintain employee lifecycle documentation
  • Strong understanding of the Human Resources Information System, ensuring data integrity
