Chevron is accepting online applications for the KD Operations Specialist position in Fox Creek, AB (CAN) through March 25th at 11:59 p.m. (MT) .
The KD Operations Specialist supports the Operations Team in managing the production activities in Chevron’s Kaybob Duvernay field - a 330,000 acre unconventional development with approximately 65,000 BOE/Day production from over 230 wells.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Reports to the Operations Supervisor.
Supports the Production Operations organization within the Kaybob Duvernay asset in Chevon Canada Operations to help meet and exceed production targets.
Driving improvements in safety and environmental performance, production well reliability, and measurement performance
Accountable for mentoring operators, monitoring monthly scorecards to drive performance improvements, and making recommendations to correct and improve processes to positively impact field performance.
Actively participates and leads projects/initiatives; Relieves Operations Supervisor as needed.
In depth understanding of Control of Work processes including but not limited to; e-Permit to Work, electronic isolations, Equipment Specific Isolations (ESIP’s) and Lockout Tagout (LOTO)
Support regulatory approvals, compliance and government reporting primarily through the monitoring and optimization of well testing and the management of data quality within Energy Components (EC).
Data champions for key business tools (i.e IntelaTrak, Connected Ops, EC etc.). Identify, review and support digital tools and instrument field trials.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the field Operations Team and will be highly visible in the organization and community requiring role modelling of critical behaviors, providing visible leadership in the field and proactively supporting Human Organizational Performance (HOP) processes within area of responsibility.
Relocation Options: Relocation will be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations: Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
This position requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). To commence employment, the selected candidate(s) must adhere to health and safety requirements established by Chevron Canada Resources (CCR), including the use of suitable PPE, in accordance with the requirements set out by applicable Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation. PPE requirements may include the use of respiratory protection, a harness and/or a hard hat. CCR will, in accordance with OH&S legislation, consider requests for exemptions to the health and safety requirements, and where appropriate, may provide reasonable accommodations for personnel who are unable to adhere to these requirements due to protected rights under the relevant Employment Standards legislation.
