about this team 

The Employment Policy & Compliance team (EPC) is a global function within People & Culture that creates and manages employment policies, practices, and frameworks to foster a respectful and inclusive working environment for all employees, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations in new and existing markets. EPC collaborates with Employment Legal to establish strategy to respond to the evolving employment compliance landscape and elevating the employment experience through our policies and practices.

a day in the life

  • Lead and develop a team of Sr. Specialists to deliver on overall employment compliance program 
  • Work in partnership with Legal to research changes in laws and regulations, analyze impact of employment compliance matters on the organization and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Lead compliance related initiatives and projects to identify opportunities and address issues across a broad spectrum of global employment matters, working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and budget and schedule requirements.
  • Develop and maintain company-wide guidelines, practices and training on applicable compliance matters 
  • Define global employment compliance requirements, make sure they are complete, consistent and implemented.

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, employment law, or related field 
  • In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of local, provincial, state, and federal labor laws and regulations (International labor law knowledge is a bonus) 
  • 5-7+ years of HR or related experience, including: 3+ years of experience focused on HR compliance, employment law, employee relations or related functional expertise 
  • Experience leading and developing teams 
  • Expert understanding of compliance regulations and ability to translate policies to action. 
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, research, and communication skills. 
  • Highly ethical and able to deal with confidential issues with tact

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $107,500 - $141,100 annually ; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

workplace arrangement

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy: In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
