Sask Polytech has more than 2,000 full-time equivalent positions serving students across our province. The manager, human resource systems and reporting provides services and support to clients including HR data management and governance, reporting, statistics and metrics for critical talent decisions, oversees HR operational processes and administration, and tackles projects targeted at the improvement of our services and the full and effective use of our enterprise technology. Using data as a key component of our operational and strategic environment, the ability to provide clear, compelling and transformational information to support our organization is a priority of this role. We support a culture of innovation and collaboration where data is used to inform and enhance our operations. This role will play a lead role in solving open-ended, complex questions about how Sask Polytech can attract, develop and retain our talented workforce. Being able to create a meaningful and compelling picture of our organizational talents through data will be continued area of focus in this role. The understanding that every piece of data in HR points to a person supporting our student’s learning journey is the foundation of our best work.
The manager is responsible for managing the utilization and optimization of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s human resource information systems and providing leadership and guidance to our human resource division on systems and data-stewardship issues. This position maintains a lead role in the implementation, integration and continuous improvement of a number of HR business solutions and projects. Data stewardship and data reporting are key deliverables of this position and along with the coordination of human resource strategies and projects with focus on HR data, systems and reporting. As we continue to grow in our use and understanding of HR analytics as a service to the organization, the manager will take pride in advancing our HR analytics framework.
The manager is accountable to the director, human resource advisory services and leads a team of 8 team members with span of control across all HR service areas relating to employee data and employment administration. The team is made up of an HR Analyst Team Lead, 3 HR Assistants and 4 HR Analysts. The manager will work primarily with the Team Lead, the other HR managers across the division and the HR leadership team to support our HR reporting and systems environment. With interaction at all levels of management and leadership across Saskatchewan Polytechnic, including union and faculty association officials, travel will be required.

Duties
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
A relevant post-secondary degree combined with additional training in human resources with a minimum of five years of HR analytics related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience leading a team and demonstrated knowledge of progressive human resources practices/processes is required. Exposure to a variety of HRIS platforms and reporting/statistical analysis tools and experience with data collection (qualitative and quantitative) would be valued.
