Job Description - Manager, Resource & Business Integration

Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About the role


Canadian Blood Services (CBS) is looking for a Manager, Resource & Business Integration to join our dynamic Strategic Facilities Management & Business Integration team. The work of a Manager, Resource & Business Integration is integral to Canadian Blood Services role as Canada’s Lifeline.


In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight of the resource administrative aspects of the Strategic Facilities Management & Business Integration functions. You will be responsible for the provision of knowledge management and services, including audit preparation, record review and retention, dashboards and reports, Facilities program administration, requisitioning, scheduling/timekeeping, intake, and customer service activities.


Formula for Success:

 

  • Utilizing your superior Resource planning skills, review, analyze and evaluate departmental performance and make recommendations for improvements by establishing short and long term objectives while developing, managing and tracking the team's annual operating budget.
  • Drawing on your knowledge of best practices in document management processes. ensure documents are available. maintained, and archived according to procedures, requirements, specifications and comply with relevant guidance from CBS's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Using a Continuous Improvement mindset, facilitate, assist and promote the identification of continuous improvement opportunities by staying up to date with best practices.
  • Drawing on your leadership skills, coach direct reports in continuous improvement and implementation of best practices. Monitor and appraise the performance of all direct reports, identify training needs, and initiate staff development.
  • Focusing on your customer service skills, promote an environment where internal customer's requirements drive service delivery by developing and motivating the team and establishing strong and effective working relationships through coaching and successful teamwork. 


Performs other related duties as required.


Desired Education and Skills: 

 

  • Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Five years of related, management experience including experience in program planning, staff, resource, and financial management.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret business needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and deal effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective at integrating knowledge management systems with other platforms.
  • Process development and Project management experience will be considered an asset
  • Microsoft and Office 365 apps experience including Power BI.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends, developments, and practices in resource management.


An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
