Pharmacy Manager

At Mint Health+Drugs Sterling, we've embraced our young community of families, offering specialized care and products focused on maternity, labour and delivery, breastfeeding and infant care. We also offer the only privately certified travel clinic in the area, with prescribing pharmacists certified by the International Society of Travel Medicine. You will work closely with our pharmacy team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications and vaccines to our young patients. The pharmacy is open from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and closed daily from noon to 12:30 PM for lunch. As a Pharmacy Manager at Mint Health + Drugs, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide outstanding pharmaceutical care. Working closely with our pharmacist and other team members, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining inventory control, and providing excellent customer service to our patients. Additional Prescribing Authority or willingness to attain. Valid Injection Certification or willingness to attain. Minimum Three Years Of Progressively Supervisory And Managerial Experience. Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in pharmacy software and database programs. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Takes the initiative and exercises independent judgment. Remains current with advances in health and pharmacy-related matters. Responsibilities: Assess prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, and efficacy. Collaborate with patients and healthcare providers to determine appropriate therapeutic options. Ensure the legality and appropriateness of prescriptions. Document all patient interactions and comply with pharmacy legislation. Apply medication management principles consistently. Promote healthy living and support immunization programs. Identify health risks and educate at-risk individuals. Assist patients in selecting appropriate self-care regimens. Assess treatment options considering the patient's health condition. Ensure the safe preparation and handling of medications. Document incidents and report adverse drug reactions. Act as a professional leader and supervise pharmacy staff. Assist with performance evaluation and inventory processes. Act as the Licensee and ensure that the pharmacy's license is renewed annually. Ensure all pharmacists are in good standing with all applicable professional bodies. Display the pharmacy license in the dispensary. Evaluate the performance of employees. Delegate task to assistants, technicians, and pharmacists to meet the needs of the pharmacy. Partner with human resources to hire and terminate employees.
