Job Description



Our Western Canada Team is set to launch several exciting new projects in late summer and early fall, providing unique opportunities to engage with high-profile clients and drive transformative initiatives across diverse industries. We are looking to grow our team and have several positions & roles to fill. We are looking for exceptional consulting professionals who have a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, and with hands-on experience on business processes or technology projects.

You must be local to Calgary and surrounding area – and willing to work in a hybrid environment with a combo of remote and on client site.

  • For these opportunities, you must be legally eligible to work in Canada, holding either Permanent Residency or full Citizenship status. We are not able to cover relocation expenses at this time.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Project Manager , you will be working as part of the Sia Partners team, delivering on various Transformation projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create project charters and manage project delivery including vision and objectives, governance model, scope, schedule, resources, solution/process quality, benefits, risk/issue management, and success metrics
  • Identify and manage project and milestone dependencies, project resourcing, and associated budget(s)
  • Provide status reporting of progress, dependencies, issues, risks and overall project health
  • Facilitate and document data-driven business/IT decision-making to support critical project delivery milestones and timelines
  • Ensure appropriate project documentation is prepared, updated and maintained in client-approved project information repositories.
  • Optimize project delivery performance and outcomes.
  • Manage and motivate a diverse team of IT and business professionals, including vendors
  • Collaborate with and influence large stakeholder groups representing a variety of roles, functions and business areas.

Qualifications



We are especially interested in meeting senior Project Managers with the following experience:

Mandatory Requirements:

  • A leader with 10+ years experience working as a Project Manager , including experience on complex, high-visibility, and enterprise-wide/cross-functional projects
  • Proven track record and ability to collaborate with and influence large stakeholder groups representing a variety of roles, functions and business areas
  • PMP certification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in utilities, public sector/government, and banking will be considered an asset

Other Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology (or equivalent education plus experience)
  • Experience with Change Management and incorporating OCM best practices to your work
  • Experience working on HR-Information Systems (HRIS), Human Capital Management and/or Learning Management Systems implementation & enhancement projects (some examples could be Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM, SuccessFactors, etc)
  • Strong knowledge of HR-operations and functions , covering all stages of an employee lifecycle (recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluation, training, learning & development, succession planning/mentorship programs, & etc.)
  • Strong and succinct communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to interact with leadership, key business stakeholders, subject matter experts and technical team members.
  • Adept at navigating complex, multi-dimensional business and technology environments utilizing structured and systematic thinking and approaches combined with available and often incomplete information to identify and execute on critical path priorities. 
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver with the ability to adapt as information, project and environment variables evolve.
  • “Someone who doesn’t have all the answers - but knows how to get them”
