Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) : This course deals with the use of computers in schools as tools for students in curricula other than computer studies. The role that technology can play in school restructuring is examined. Also included is a discussion of issues related to teacher training and classroom implementation, and the ways in which technology applications can influence the curriculum content and process. The major emphasis is on determining the specific educational needs (of students, teachers, etc.) that computers can meet. Estimated course enrolment : 25 Estimated TA support : None Class schedule : See job application site for schedule and mode of teaching Sessional dates of appointment : September 2024 to December 2024 Salary : As of May 01, 2024, the minimum stipend is $9,457.90 (inclusive of vacation pay) for a half credit course. Salary may be prorated based on the appointment percentage. Minimum qualifications : Candidates should possess a doctorate degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated currency and mastery of the subject area. Mastery may be demonstrated, but not limited to scholarly publications establishing expertise in the area. Preferred qualifications : Over and above the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to individuals with prior graduate teaching experience in this area. of duties : Prepare, organize, and teach this half-course graduate seminar; be available to students seeking assistance between classes; evaluate and provide students with feedback on their work.
