Sr. Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Analyst who can contribute to the success of our project teams by assisting the business and technical teams through the analysis and implementation of varying technical requirements.

Experience & Education Requirements:

• University degree or College diploma in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or related major.
  • A secondary degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related courses/certifications is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Proven experience with requirements gathering and analysis, use case creation and functional design documentation, in area of software project implementations.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with clients on mid to large-scale projects.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in UI/UX design with expert understanding of UI / UX design methodology and practices.
• A strong understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to comfortably interact with clients, understand their ideas and needs, and translate those needs into requirement understandings for technical teams.
• Experience working in a Waterfall / Agile/Scrum development process and working with Product owners and Scrum Master to define and refine the backlogs of user requirements is considered an asset.

Skills & Responsibilities:

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Business Analysts, sharing expertise and insights to foster their professional development and growth.
• Always up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies. Only recommending those with solid design principles that support good user experience design.
• Strong organizational analytics skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate any amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent documentation skills and the ability to create design deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, design comps, user flows, sequence diagrams and associated documentation; and ability to iterate on those based on feedback.
• Be able to conceptualize designs and collaborate well with other team members ensuring overall design is implemented as intended.
• Able to produce deliverables using the following - Agile, DevOps, Visio, Rational Unified Process ( RUP ) and Unified Modeling Language ( UML ) methodology using OOAD process and modeling tools.
• Ability to present your designs and evangelize your solutions to various stakeholders with an ability to accept feedback/critiques and adjust your designs to resolve issues.
• Able to facilitate Joint Requirement Planning ( JRP ) & Joint Application Development ( JAD ) with Business User Groups, Subject Matter Experts, and IT to develop the design and limit the change process.
• Experienced in executing and managing User Acceptance Testing ( UAT ), supporting Quality Assurance ( QA ) in reviewing Test Procedures and Test cases, and reviewing and maintaining manual and automated Test scripts.
• Capable of utilizing the following ‘ Business Analysis Documentation’ practices:
  • Business Requirement Documents ( BRD )
  • Functional Specification Documents ( FSD )
  • Requirements Traceability Matrix ( RTM )
  • Use Case Specifications
• A foundational understanding of the Microsoft.NET stack and Microsoft Azure offerings/technologies.

Desirable Assets:

• Prior experience coordinating and executing QA activities such as:
  • Understanding User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , creating test plans, test cases, executing test cases, logging and tracking defects using tools like TFS Test manager, DevOps, etc.
• Microsoft Certification AI-900: Azure AI Fundamentals or related is considered an asset.
• Holds certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA, or is willing to obtain them to enhance business analysis skills and expertise.
• A background in or understanding of AI Optimization and best practices and proven experience leveraging AI to optimize business processes.
• Experience with CRM systems (ie. HubSpot).
• General understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC
• Prior experience coordinating and executing QA activities such as:
  • Understanding User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , creating test plans, test cases, executing test cases, logging and tracking defects using tools like TFS Test manager, DevOps, etc.
