Position Overview
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will own the full-cycle recruitment and build relationships with local schools and community partners. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand their hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. This role requires a proactive approach to talent acquisition, exceptional communication skills, and a strong ability to build relationships both internally and externally. In this role you will have an opportunity to be a part of the growth of the Y and support the community we serve, by ensuring an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
Responsibilities
Post job advertisements and publicize in appropriate outlets, working with the communication team as needed.
Create or update job posting, job descriptions, and interview guides as needed
Proactively source talent and build talent pipelines.
Identify recruiting opportunities by researching new sources for talent.
Manage recruitment activates and relationships including job fairs, community outreach programs and other recruitment events.
Review all applications and select qualified candidates for initial screening.
Schedule and participate in interviews.
Complete reference checks and other per-employment screening.
Assist with employee onboarding and orientations.
Ensure Applicant Tracking System and HRIS records are maintained.
Support the Workforce Planning process
Draft employment contracts.
Participate in People & Culture Department programs and projects.
Other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications: Human Resources Management Certificate or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years full cycle recruitment experience
Effective interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Experience working with an applicant tracking system or other HR systems
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong time management and organization skills.
Proactive with the willingness to take initiative.
