Dock Worker

TF Truckload & Logistics is growing, and we are currently looking to recruit a Dock Worker for their Edmonton location.

This is a Monday to Friday position with a schedule of 11.00 am to 7.30 pm. Overtime availability with the occasional weekend shift as required.

Role and Responsibilities

• Physically receive materials (Warehouse or Yard Locations).
• Materials inspections
• Prepare material for shipping ensuring that the load is secure and staged in the appropriate area.
• Light maintenance and preservation activities
• Offloading and receiving materials from various trucks.
• Loading and shipping materials on various trucks.
• Prepare Bills of Lading for outgoing freight.
• Operate all manner of Forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Ship and receive Dangerous Goods and controlled products.
• Cross trained in other active Warehouse Positions
• General Warehouse Duties.
• Housekeeping – Maintain clean and safe yard operation.
• Must be trained in TDG and WHMIS as required.
• Participate in Safety Program
• Attend all Safety Meetings.

Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day; ability to walk / stand for duration of shift
• Minimum 3 years warehouse experience
• Minimum 2 years Forklift Operation required.
• Load securement experience an asset.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competent time management skills.
• Flexibility to multi-task.
• Able to work both in a team environment and independently.
• TDG Clear Language & WHMIS required
• Valid AB Class 5 Driver’s License preferred
