Position Overview:

• Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Driver is responsible for local pickup and delivery trips using Custom Cubes’ vehicles, transporting materials and products between storage and production facilities, as well as to customers as needed.
• The Driver focuses on maintaining the quality of materials and products being transported
• They are also a champion of customer service, representing Custom Cubes in all of their interactions.
• Health and Safety is every employee’s responsibility.
• All employees are required to follow Custom Cubes’ safety standards and carry out all tasks with a safety-focused attitude and behaviours. 

Responsibilities

• Transporting various Customs Cubes / M&B products such as shipping containers, portable washrooms, industrial equipment (palletized and non-palletized).
• Follow delivery schedules as assigned by management.
• Travel as required (Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, Southern & Central Interior). 
• Ensure adequate securement of loads, tools, and other supplies carried inside or on Customs Cubes equipment. 
• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles, trailers, and tools/equipment. 
• Ensure pre & post trip inspections on Custom Cube vehicles and trailers are conducted with due care, reporting any defects or repairs to management immediately. 
• Ensure safe operation of all vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
• Ensure HOS and timesheets are always kept up-to-date and in good order.
• Ensure receipts and purchases are conducted according to company policy. 
• Ensure excellent customer service when interacting with customers, modelling professional and courteous behaviour.
• Other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

• A valid class 5 Driver’s License with a valid 20 endorsement
• A clean driving record for the past 5 years
• 3-5 years of experience driving commercial vehicles 
• License/certification to operate scissor lifts, skid steers also considered an asset. 
• Automotive towing experience considered and asset. 
• Ability to use GPS navigation via apps or vehicle navigation. 
• Experience with ELD and HOS management applications considered an asset, but not required (training will be provided). 
• Mountain driving experience considered and asset (Winter Conditions, Chaining) 
• Trailer Experience required with experience Backing Into tight locations 
• Experience with tilt deck trailers considered an asset. 
• Experience delivering shipping containers considered an asset.
• Knowledge and experience with various power tools is considered an asset.

• Learning and growth mindset; willing to undergo training if necessary.
• Demonstrated effective verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Strong attention to detail.
