As a Financial Accountant , the purpose is to audit, analyse, and enhance financial data and procedures to drive efficiency and accuracy. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the company’s sales team by analysing data to craft compelling proposals and ensuring competitive pricing strategies. As you progress in this role, you'll also oversee and manage their dedicated accounting team, responsible for billing, bookkeeping, and commission reporting.

Key responsibilities:

🧾 Analyse data from external invoices in various formats (CSV, Excel, PDF) to evaluate rates, fees, and discounts of potential clients, enabling the sales team to offer competitive rates.

📦 Utilise proprietary software to generate quotes and manipulate dependencies to produce accurate projections.

📑 Conduct weekly audits on billing data for customer shipments to ensure accuracy and address any errors or discrepancies promptly.

💼 Translate complex sales data into disbursements for sales staff, ensuring commission calculations align with company policies and performance metrics.

📊 Implement optimization strategies for audit and reporting processes, streamlining workflows, and enhancing efficiency.

🗓️ Regularly report financial data and audit results to management, providing insights for decision-making and refining financial presentations.

🧾 Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to address specific inquiries or provide deeper insights into areas of interest.

📦 Create comprehensive reports, charts, and graphs to communicate financial and business trends effectively.

📑 Collaborate with cross-functional teams and outsourced accounting firms to integrate financial and operational data, ensuring cohesive financial management.

Working Hours ⏰: Full-time, with primary work hours during US EST business hours, offering flexibility for earlier start and end times based on independent tasks.

To excel in this role, you need to have:

✅ Profound Excel skills are a must, including Power Query, Pivot Tables, and Macros.

✅ Adept at interpreting financial data to provide meaningful insights for informed decision-making.

✅ Experience in accurately preparing and analysing financial statements and reports. Experience in conducting audits and providing strategic recommendations to enhance overall financial performance.
