Forklift Operator - Counterbalance / Shipper

Adecco, in partnership with our client, who is a dynamic and growing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products to customers efficiently and accurately, is currently hiring a full-time reliable and detail-oriented Shipper to join their logistics team in Aurora, ON. In this role you will be responsible for handling accurately and efficiently outgoing shipments ensuring timely delivery to the customer.   This position handles the outbound flow of products to customers across Canada, USA, and to international markets through a network of transport carriers.

Responsibilities:

• Load outgoing shipments by using warehouse equipment (forklifts, electric walkies, pallet jacks) or by hand in the case of small parcel or customer pick up

• Prepare shipping documents, labels, and ensure orders filled accurately.

• Complete end of day tasks for outgoing orders including WMS function and filing of signed bill of lading.

• Follow and enforce safety procedures.

• Maintaining a clean and organized dock area.

• Use 3rd party shipping software to complete shipments for specific customers.

• Work well with Warehouse Coordinator and Manager to complete orders on time.

• Direct Material Handlers in packaging area to ensure order priorities maintained

• Assist packaging area by trouble shooting issues.

• Allocate resources to ensure efficiency and accuracy of orders.

• Functions in packaging area include packing orders, building, wrapping pallets

Qualifications:

• Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

• High School Diploma.

• 5 years of experience in distribution or similar manufacturing environment

• Forklift experience & certification including successfully passing an onsite evaluation

• Experience with Counterbalance forklift machines

• Demonstrated safety experience for self/others in a fast-paced work environment

• Knowledge of warehousing procedures

• Attention to numerical accuracy and other details

• Strong written and spoken English skills for clear communications

• Able to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs

• Must have steel toed safety shoes (annual company replenishment)
