Opportunity!Our client is looking for their next great leader Supply Chain leader in Western Canada. As the Global Director of Logistics & Distribution, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our global supply chain and logistics operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of our premium products. You will lead a diverse team of professionals and collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to drive operational excellence and support our growth strategy. Your role will involve strategic planning, cost optimization, risk management, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a global supply chain and logistics strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans.
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, production, warehousing, distribution, and transportation.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export requirements, and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and production, to align supply chain activities with overall business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global supply chain and logistics team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- APICS & Lean Six Sigma an asset.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in global supply chain and logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and import/export requirements.
- Experience with supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Will provide a full relocation package if required.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
