We have an opening for a Materials and Equipment Delivery Driver. You will manage the logistics of utility materials hauling, and small equipment (generators, hand tampers, construction fence, etc.), and ensure quality, safety, and timeliness within budget. The successful candidate brings a minimum of two years of experience in hauling in and around Calgary. Knowledge of applicable legislation and a clean driving record make you the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-trip Inspections: check oil, fluid levels, tires, lights, brakes, etc. Complete the checklist and submit it daily.
- Check that the truck is kept in optimum operating condition by reporting all repair requirements to the Fleet Mechanic without delay.
- Drive and operate a 1-ton flatbed truck.
- Drive and operate a vehicle with a bumper pull trailer.
- Exercise reasonable care in truck operation.
- Adhere to all applicable safety rules and regulations.
- Obtain job assignment, address, and location and confirm the best routing to designated areas.
- Haul trash material to landfill.
- Disposing of materials: dump in a designated area, and clean the vehicle after dumping when necessary.
- Physically capable of loading equipment and tooling by hand (fence panels, signage, etc.)
- Submit daily activity reports, haul tickets, and purchase receipts.
- Pick up and Haul materials and aggregate from suppliers to job sites.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years hauling materials and equipment – truck driving experience in city limits.
- Must have class 5 Drivers Licence.
- Proven care and diligence with a good safety record.
- Applicants must have a current clean 5-year Driver’s Abstract in good standing with minimal demerits.
- Understanding of legislation and regulations in transportation.
- Previous experience is an asset.
- Valid Driver’s License and Driver’s abstract in good standing.
- Minimum 2000 hours of experience in similar or the same equipment.

- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
