Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Musreau Gas Plant, part of the Central Complex Gathering system, is recruiting for a Gas Plant/Field Operator to join the team.

 

This position reports to the Day Foreman, Operations in the Gas Services Business Unit (GBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities division. The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas gathering, compression, shallow cut processing and both sweet deep cut processing services for its customers, primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts. 

 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

This is a camp-based position requiring the successful candidate to stay in camp during the shift rotation (7 on, 7 off; days only, 12 hour shifts). As a Gas Plant/Field Operator, you will be responsible for daily operations of the gas plant and field sites. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Start up, operate and shut down unit operations within the gas plant and gathering system with expertise;
  • Review, understand and fully utilize Pembina’s safety and operational procedures and standards in performing all facets of work;
  • Ensure all safety documentation is completed for all personnel working in the facilities under operational care, including Safe Work Permits and Field Level Task Assessments;
  • Clearly document facilities operation in an electronic logbook reporting daily production reports, reliability reporting, monthly PM’s, and assigned inspections;
  • Lead and participate in site lockouts and planned maintenance activities;
  • Lift and move barrels from a truck onto a barrel dock, as well as in and out of buildings;
  • Identify and troubleshoot process upsets, take proportional action to resolve issues;
  • Create notifications through our SAP PMM system, plan for and have equipment ready for maintenance according to the schedule, call out maintenance staff when required;
  • Look for cost savings opportunities and relay them to the team during operations 
  • Incident, Near Miss, Hazard ID reporting as required;
  • Keep safety tickets up to date and coordinate required training; 
  • Work with a safety conscious attitude;
  • Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion and diversity;

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary or trade education is an asset; 
  • Continual dedication to on-going training and development;
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a flexible attitude to accommodate the variable duties of the position; 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications; and
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. 

 


This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of [Grand Prairie/Musreau]

 

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
