Alberta Infrastructure designs, builds, manages and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that schools, hospitals and government facilities infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. Role Responsibilities

Working in the Project Management Centre of Excellence (PMCOE) and reporting to the Sr. Project Management Learning & Development Specialist, the Project Management Training Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the professional development needs of Alberta Infrastructure's project management community. Along with the ongoing administration of the PM Training program, including but not limited to managing course advertising and participant registrations, reporting on uptake and attendance, and ensuring training program data integrity, the Project Management Training Coordinator is also responsible for supporting end-users with timely and efficient access to training information, and managing and maintaining the PMCOE’s Learning and Development knowledge-based tools and systems. This includes providing course facilitation and presentation delivery training and coaching to the internal info session presenters and fostering Infrastructure’s learning culture by participating in the development and delivery of relevant and effective project management training for Infrastructure's project management community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering all logistical facets of vendor-course delivery from setup through completion, including schedule coordination, registration management, communicating of PM Training offerings and initiatives across the organization, creating and administrating course evaluations, and program progress reporting.
  • Developing and delivering standard and ad hoc reports for program planning, annual reports, and analysis of course utilization and timing.
  • Maintaining a catalogue of learning opportunities in Infrastructure's LMS and internal PMCOE tools.
  • Ensuring all LMS modules and course components are functioning as required, including identifying and troubleshooting application issues.
  • Drafting and coordinating communications including translating technical content into the appropriate tone and language for non-technical staff.
  • Managing the PM Learning and Development SharePoint sites, making sure content is up to date
  • Recording and editing audio and visual content for inclusion in knowledge-bases.
  • Facilitating requirements gathering sessions with project management subject matter experts and providing guidance in designing training supports.
  • Delivering technical (software) and presentation delivery skills training to project delivery staff leading presentations.
  • Providing coordination and administration support to the PMCOE team to support the delivery of PMCOE programs and services.

The ability to effectively communicate with clients is essential. The incumbent must be able to work independently and handle multiple projects or tasks with a variety of deadlines and responsibilities. Qualifications

Required :

  • University graduation in a related field or candidates may possess a related diploma complimented with 2 years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting, SharePoint content management, and learning content systems administration

Assets :

  • Exposure to adult learning principles, instructional technologies, video conferencing systems, meeting facilitation, and project management. Equivalencies will be considered
