Job Description - Supplier - Inventory management

Rationale for the position:

Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the position holder will have the main responsibility of ensuring that supplies continuously meet the needs of the company and production, while ensuring and optimizing the management of inventories.

Main responsibilities:

· Ensure supplies from local and international suppliers.

· Place orders taking into account contractual agreements and manage unforeseen events and non-conformities.

· Monitor processes linked to the quality system.

· Organize and carry out inventory taking, including correction of discrepancies.

· Participate in the process of launching new products or modifying inputs in collaboration with research and development.

· Guarantee optimal supply of internal and external inventories according to the needs of internal customers, using available tools and software.

· Ensure product replenishment taking into account logistics capabilities, such as receiving, warehousing and product shelf life.

· Responsible for the supply of inputs such as primary and secondary packaging, raw material (except milk), incorporable ingredients, and certain parts.

· Communicate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, or any other actor likely to affect customer service.

· Contribute to achieving stock positioning, inventory accuracy, service rate and warehouse turnover objectives, maintaining rigorous monitoring of key performance indicators.

· Participate in various committees to understand the needs of the organization and establish relationships with collaborators.

· Collaborate closely with the buyer, the planner-scheduler and production collaborators.

· Coordinate inventory taking in turns

Profile sought:

  • Demonstrate flexibility, a proactive approach, and have an excellent sense of customer service.
  • Master inventory management and be sensitive to the organization's liquidity.
  • Have an aptitude for teamwork and collaboration.
  • Communicate clearly in French and have functional skills in English.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Focused on results and achieving objectives.

Job requirements:

To fill this position, the following requirements are necessary:

  • University degree in operations management or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably in operations and procurement management.
  • Good knowledge of the food industry, with knowledge of the fresh produce industry an asset.
  • Proficiency in the Office Suite, as well as excellent command of Excel software.
