Shipper/Receiver

Job Type: Full Time, Contract

Compensation: $18-$25/hour

About the Company:

Our client is a pharmaceutical company that produces medicines. They are growing at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a Materials and Warehouse Coordinator to their dynamic team on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the dock area, receive couriers/drivers and assist in off-loading activities
• Examine materials to ensure they are free from damage
• Organize the materials and transfer them according to their status
• Assist in releasing materials from facility, ensuring proper documentation is provided
• Move goods around the facility as directed
• Track materials status into the inventory tracking log
• Perform period inventory counts and reconciliations
• Pack and organize shipments, create shipping labels and contact couriers to organize pick up
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dock and warehouses area
• Report any equipment or site malfunctions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must possess prior warehousing experience; experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered to be a strong asset
• Degree in logistics or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
• Must possess a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle
• Must have prior experience in operating a pallet jack truck
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Excellent time management and problem solving skills
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 55 lbs.
