Job Description - Warehouse Associate

Requisition ID: 609 Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada, L6H 5S4 Job Type: Contract Who We Are Draught Services, a division within The Beer Store, is Canada’s oldest and largest draught service and equipment company established since 1947. We work with Brewers and Licensees towards the common goal of promoting the highest quality draught beer experience through industry leading installation, global partnerships, and an established US and Canadian dealer network. We offer nationwide installation, system cleaning and service, and support and offer Canada’s premier Keg repair service. The Role We are currently searching for a Warehouse Associate reporting to the Supervisor, Supply and Warehousing. This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity for 12 months. A Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, retrieving stock, packing and shipping orders. Associates also ensure organization, cleanliness of all work areas within the warehouse. Location On-site at our Draught Services location in Oakville, ON. What You'll Be Doing
  • Process orders from ERP/web systems, and answer customer inquires both internal and external, phone and through email.
  • Process orders from ERP order system
  • Light assembly of products
  • Operation of forklift and order picker
  • Prepare shipping manifests; Track and document shipment arrival and departure times
  • Data entry in inventory and logistics software programs
  • Prepare orders, pick and pack shipments
  • Perform physical inventory procedures and cycle counts
  • Process and execute warehouse transfers, adjustments etc.
  • Investigate and document inventory variances and resolutions
  • Fill out waybills of landing
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment through compliance with Health and Safety regulations
  • Other related projects and duties as assigned
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience Education
  • Must have completed High School and/or GED equivalent
  • Post secondary education considered an asset
Experience
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience would be an asset
Skills
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with employees, customers, and vendors
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs, and may weigh up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Ability to operate various types of power equipment (forklift, walkies)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must have a valid drivers license
