Warehouse Dockworker

We are looking for a Warehouse Dock worker for our client who is a Leader in the Logistics industry located in New Glasgow Nova Scotia area. The warehouse worker / dock worker is responsibilities include storing materials, picking, and packing orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

The candidate will need to be flexible as the shifts are VERY EARLY MORNING reliable transportation is a must ! 

SHIFTS ARE  MONDAY TO FRIDAY 4AM- 1230pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Complete diary logs into inventory
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Communicate with drivers and carriers
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment - Pallet Jacks and Forklift
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Education & Experience:

• Proven working experience as a warehouse Dock worker
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Current forklift license considered an asset
• must know how to use a pallet jack
• TDG and WHMIS
• High school degree
• Clean criminal record is a must
