Job Description - Controller/Office Manager


We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join Yorkton Hyundai as the Controller/Office Manager. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and who has excellent communication, organization and analytical skills. Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial and operational reports/statements
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures
- Monitor day to day accounting and inventory processes
- Monthly payroll and all cheque processing
- Ensure all month-end and periodic reports are completed on a timely and accurate basis
- Full cycle accounting including month end and year end close processes, journal entries, invoicing, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliations
- Ensure all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection and co-op advertising are current and accurate.
- Interpret financial statement/ledgers and investigates any anomalies
- Ensures compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including filing and/or maintaining of required forms, payroll taxes and deposits, income taxes, pst, gst, retirement plan record, benefits
- Coordinates annual audit/review and all physical inventory
- A/R, A/P payments/invoices and all monthly statements
- Work closely with management to manage balance sheets, inventory and expense analysis
- Monitor cash balances and floor plan financing
- Ensure all standard accounting policies, procedures and controls are consistently and accurately applied
- Attend and record minutes for Managers meetings
Requirements: - Minimum of 3 to 4 years of related experience
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in digital technology and related computer programs  knowledge in Quorum OEM system an asset
- Strategic financial management and strong analytical skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
