Job Description - Facilities Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Facilities manager, the facilities maintenance technician is responsible for the physical maintenance of the building, facilities, and grounds.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining grounds, lawns, gardens, parking lots

Manual yard work , knowledge of string trimmer operation and maintenance

Perform various tasks to building facilities , painting , moving equipment

Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance.

Maintain a safe work environment.

Small improvements and equipment installation.

Maintain a clean work environment.

 

Qualifications (Required):

Actively enrolled post secondary education program 

Good mechanical skills and willing to learn

Demonstrate autonomy and initiative.

Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Safe worker and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies.

Qualifications (Assets):

Experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, and food manufacturing.

Certifications in the following:  fork truck, working at height, PEWP / MEWP, rigging and hoisting, confined space.
