Primary Function: To perform all tasks of an Inspector Level C and to conduct non-destructive examinations. Tasks: + Perform NDE in all areas of the Shop. + Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures. + Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation. + Demonstrate good workmanship and practices. + Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, project management, engineering) as well as customer representatives. + Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations. + Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations. Qualifications: + Proven commitment to workplace safety. + Must possess MT Level 2 AND PT Level 2 PLUS 2 of the following: + CEDO + UT CGSB-1 + RT CGSB-1 + 2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector with BWXT + 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT + Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2) + Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry. + Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations. + Proficiency with computer software. + Available to work all shifts: + Weekday days: 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Mon - Thurs) OR + Weekday afternoons: 4:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Mon - Thurs) OR + Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours) OR + Weekend afternoons: 5:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours) WHY JOIN BWXT?: + Competitive wages + 2 weeks paid pro-rated vacation to start + Employer-paid pension plan + Excellent Health, Dental & Vision benefits + Paramedical benefits + Life insurance… and so much more!
