The work of a Laboratory Assistant, Development is integral to Canadian Blood Services role as Canada’s Lifeline. In this role, you will work with the Supply Chain Process Management team and will provide validation and technology transfer support for organizational strategic projects. The Lab Assistant, Development is responsible for performing routine tasks in the Development Lab blood processing and testing areas. Responsibilities include supporting the planning and effective operation of the respective functions and providing input into the Development Lab documents such as study protocols and final reports.

What you can expect:
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, work activities may include using production equipment for extended periods of time.
Work activities may include lifting and carrying of equipment, supplies, collected blood packs, blood and blood products being produced, and shipping containers for short periods of time.
Limited travel required. May need to travel to other sites once or twice a year.
