Job Description:Job Description LASER MACHINE OPERATOR We are seeking a Laser Operator to become an integral part of our metal fabrication team! Candidates must have excellent people and communication skills and the ability to read blueprints and program laser machines. Candidate will ensure that all necessary protocols, procedures, drawing specifications, quality control and documentation are in place and are followed, ensuring continuous improvements and lean manufacturing. Job Description1. Perform laser cutting operations.2. Select proper cutting parameters.3. Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.4. Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.5. Perform prescribed maintenance as required. 6. Perform all dimensional inspections.7. Detect and report defective materials and programs to supervisor.8. May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require. Preferred Education and Experience · 3 years of laser operator experience; minimum · Computer programming (CNC) · Reading and understanding blueprints and mechanical drawings · Knowledge and use of appropriate tools to maintain machines · Attention to details and adherence to all quality and safety procedures · Addressing machine malfunctions in an efficient and expedited manner · Chart machine performance and administer routine checks and maintenance · Ensuring that projects are implemented and completed according to timelines · Plan the sequences of operation to achieve optimal precision and tolerances · Preparing raw materials for production; assembling final products for shipping While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 30 pounds. Pay Rate: $29-$33/hr based on experience and qualifications. Your job title will be Laser Operator as a member of the custom fabrication team at S-FAB Fabrication Inc. (SFAB). At all times, it will be required for you to assist your customers and co-workers to the best of your ability. You will report to the Shop Foreman for all direct day-to-day duties, and ultimately the Plant Manager.
