Millwright – Plant Maintenance


As a member of the plant maintenance team, you will assist in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a combination of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic machinery. Your team will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to production equipment and plant facility. While keeping the plant operating at the best possible capacity, Safety will always be your most important priority.



Job Responsibilities:

• Inspect and examine equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions
• Identify issues and make recommendations on repairs to avoid downtime
• Communicate with production to ensure timing and schedules for work aligns
• Adjust equipment and repair/replace defective components
• Maintain inventories of spare parts, consumables and tools required to complete your job.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability
• Complete Work Orders according to PM and CM schedules
• Comply with all applicable legislative health and safety and environmental policies and procedures

This is a Monday to Friday, Day Shift Position

The Ideal Candidate:

• Ticketed in the Millwright Trade
• 5 years experience in the maintenance department of an industrial manufacturing plant
• High aptitude with Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems (Required)
• Proven track record working with Lathes, Milling Machines and Welding Equipment
• Above average problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
• Thrives in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook)
• Focuses on continuous self-improvement
