Job Description - Painting Department Supervisor

Are you an industrial painter with experience as a team lead? Would you like to join a leading company in the field of steel construction? Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in steel, is currently seeking a Supervisor to join their Painting Department for the night shift. Tasks
  • Instructing employees on safe work practices and promoting occupational health and safety.
  • Providing suggestions and supporting factory management in achieving the company's goals.
  • Ensuring the implementation of and compliance with the quality management system (as defined in the quality handbook, work instructions, and relevant forms), as well as adherence to proper practices, standards, and applicable norms.
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of the current collective agreement.
  • Organizing and supervising employee tasks.
  • Adhering to production deadlines and making decisions and implementing corrective measures in case of production discrepancies, such as non-conformities.
  • Anticipating workforce needs and assessing current staffing requirements.
  • Training new employees.
  • Performing any other related tasks.

Job requirements
  • High school diploma and/or relevant training (an asset).
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the steel industry.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Demonstrated ability to read plans.
