McCain Foods (Canada) has an immediate opening for a 3rd Class Stationary Engineer. Consideration will be given to a 4th Class Stationary Engineer, willing and able to obtain 3rd Class. Under the direction of the Chief Engineer, the successful applicant will assume duties and responsibilities as provided under the Power Engineers Act. In addition, this person will participate in key factory activities.

Responsibilities:

• Shift work required (365 days/year operation).
• Call-in's may be required.
• Operate and troubleshoot boilers, refrigeration systems, and ancillary equipment.
• Assist in maintenance (preventive and predictive) of equipment in these areas.
• Responsible for the completion of all documentation and procedures for the area, including established testing/monitoring requirements.
• Maintain a neat work area / perform daily housekeeping duties.
• Provide assistance and support to maintenance and production departments.
• All additional duties as they are assigned.
• Comply with factory GMP's, Safety, and HACCP Best Operating Procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid 3rd Class Engineer's Certificate in compliance with the provisions of the Power Engineer's Act of NB or hold a valid 4th Class Engineer's Certificate and be willing to obtain a 3rd Class.
• Experience with both steam and ammonia refrigeration systems is desirable.
• Good computer skills are necessary.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Experience with SAP (or other Computerized Maintenance Management System) would be an asset.
• Must be clean shaven.
