Job Description - Product Manager

Minerals Technologies Inc. Our Consumer & Specialities segment offers technologically enhanced products to consumer-driven end markets plus specialty additives that become functional components in a variety of consumer and industrial goods. Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to manage the commercialization of Pet Care North America new items, displays, and update existing private label items. To accelerate MTI Pet Care product innovation speed to market, while meeting customer product development timelines.

 

Location: Mississauga (Port Credit), ON, CAN or Hoffman Estates, IL, U.S.

 

Compensation: $90k-$110k base with 10% IC

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end ownership of projects – from post R&D product development hand off, to project design and onto finished shippable products/launch date.
  • Develop, lead, manage, and track project activities with a cross-functional team to meet launch dates.
  • Responsible for ensuring project schedule targets and financial targets are achieved.
  • Manage the planning and implementation of projects. Drive support by conveying priorities, directing work, and ensuring issues are resolved to meet project deliverables and timelines.
  • Train cross-functional team on how to work with the NPPD Stage-GateProcess.
  • Lead by influencing cross-functional team to track and monitor efforts with project timelines and deliverables to ensure the launch at the planned date.

OE/Lean:

Actively participate in continuous improvement processes such as 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, and Hoshin Kanri.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years project or product management experience
  • Experience working with packaging suppliers
  • Experience leading innovation and renovation projects is preferred
  • Strong written and ve rbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, work independently and in groups
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn and develop quickly through personal initiative
  • Organized, enthusiastic and self-motivated

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Is required to have a complete understanding of MS Office and meet the technical requirements of their respective department.
