Title : Quality Assurance Technician

Location:31894 Marshall Road, Abbotsford

Job Type: Salary

Main Duties:

• Demonstrate familiarity with Quality Assurance documents (HACCP Plans, CCPs, pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.) and complete corresponding records.
• Perform Quality Assurance checks to ensure all procedures are fully implemented.
• Understand, operate and calibrate all lab equipment (autoclave, incubator, scales, thermometers, etc.) in accordance with standard operating procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Conduct microbiological tests.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and operational reviews, providing timely feedback and corrective recommendations to the QA Manager and the Plant Management.
• Assist the QA Manager in orienting all employees on quality, regulatory and food safety principles.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Food Sciences.
• Related 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing production environment is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and Quality regulatory requirements and systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing food processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Hiring Range: $48,934-$61,168

Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity.
