Security Guard Supervisor, Manufacturing Plant

Backwoods Energy Services is currently seeking an experienced Security Site Supervisor for a team of guards at an Industrial Facility just outside Calgary, in the Carsland, AB area.

Wage: $23.00 / Hour

Schedule: 4 on/2 off, 7AM-3PM & 3PM-11PM

Where: Industrial Facility, close to Caresland area

Travel Compensation: 1 Hour of additional pay per shift

The Role:

This is a Security Site Supervisor Position at a manufacturing plant 30 minutes outside of SE Calgary, AB. Ideal candidates will live close to the SE side of Calgary - so they can get to site the easiest.

• Regularly work with security staff to improve quality of service and ensure basic expectations are being met
• Assist in overseeing cost spending and tracking to ensure profit margins are met, and indirect costs are minimized.
• Manage equipment assets according to contract needs ensuring company owned assets are utilized first, rentals thereafter. Manage truck maintenance, damage and repairs ensuing minimal cost and maximum operational efforts.
• Oversee and administer and maintain the use of security software.
• Ensure Backwoods HR programs are being fully implemented and engage with HR Manager on any people matters as required.
• Ensure operational efficiencies and continual operational improvement.
• Ensure all contracts are read, understood and being followed as required and project profits are maximized, and clients are satisfied with our services.
• Capable workforce leader, able to provide expertise, best practices, and lead by example.
• Ensure proper guidance is in place to drive decisions to mitigate potential risks that might arise.
• Work will not only take place during conventional business hours, will require some on-call shifts on a rotational basis and able to assist as required in the event of an emergency.
• Evenings, weekends, and holiday work is required.

What We're Looking For:

• Local to the Calgary / Caresland area (required)
• Alberta Security License (required)
• 2 years supervisory/managerial expereince (required)
• 1 year Industrial Security experience (required)
• Class 5 Driver's License with no more than 6 demerits (required)
• Standard First Aid with CPR (preferred)
• CSTS (required)
• H2S Awareness (preferred)
• Objectivity, emotional control and dependability
• Able to follow complex instructions, both written and verbal
• Knowledgeable about security operations and procedures
• Site orientations as needed and requested
