Tayco is looking for an enthusiastic Production Supervisor to join our high performing Production Team. THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading, motivating and coaching a team of material handlers within our Warehouse Department, and other departments as required.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage the day-to-day activities of production team members to ensure that by the end of each shift they have collectively achieved their goals and objectives. They will be responsible for ensuring quality standards are met in an efficient, effective, and timely manner in accordance with Health and Safety, Collective Agreement, Quality, ISO 9001-2008, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement standards, policies and procedures. In addition, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for handling team performance issues, ensuring proper receiving and storage of all raw materials, managing accurate inventory counts, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, training, health and safety, and more.

Requirements

Tayco is seeking passionate candidates who possess the following experience and competencies:

• Has a minimum of 5 years’ previous work experience in a Warehouse environment.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating forklifts. Has a forklift certification.
• Knowledge of and/or familiarity with inventory management, receiving, shipping, and warehouse management.
• Proven leadership experience:
• Ability to achieve results and perform work with energy and drive.
• Proven ability to focus on the Customer and acting with the Customer in mind; value importance of providing high-quality products on a timely basis.

• Has experience with ERP systems, and is able to use Excel to track, analyze and manipulate data.
• Strong people planning skills. Has the ability to organize, plan and prioritize work.
• Exhibits good communication skills and has ability to work as part of a team.
• Highly motivated, energetic and capable of addressing issues with a strong sense of urgency
• Supervisory style and values that are in alignment with Tayco’s core values: efficient, ownership, progressive and enjoyable experiences.
• Proven leadership experience:
  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive manner even under changing or uncertain conditions.
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of individuals to provide, support, coaching, encouragement, and direction.
